Techno Reactions by myself, Brandon Peoples, is a Youtube series where I listen to various Electronic Music tracks on camera and record my reaction. I also track my heart-rate as the music intensifies. Witness how a true musical empath experiences his favorite genre of music.
Electronic music has contributed largely to my growth and who I am as a person. It is a passion that defines me since I was in diapers. I have fond memories of dancing in diapers to the sounds of techno. Or locking myself inside of my mom’s car as a kid just to listen to a live trance set that was burned on a CD by a friend of mine. I am what you would refer to as a “musical empath”. Music by definition is “vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.” An empath by definition is “a person with the paranormal ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual.” When you combine the two, you have the embodiment of myself. This is why I make Youtube videos. To share with the world a raw, unedited version of a musical empath’s emotional journey as they listen to their favorite genre of music.
I have been producing music since I was 14 years old and understand the deep inner-workings of the genre. I even started my very own record label called “VycVyper Recordings” back in 2012 at the age of 20. By sheer memory, I know hundreds of artists and thousands of tracks. Electronic music has been my solace and form of emotional refugee all throughout my life. It was a vice that I could run to for comfort as a form of escapism. The only problem is that I never felt like I was part of a community where I could interact with like-minded individuals unless I was in a “rave-like” setting. Well, I’ve decided to take that concept to the online world and try my hand at building a community of fans of electronic music. That’s what led me to start my Techno Reactions Youtube series.
As you watch my videos and listen to the tracks along with me, we’ll reminisce together. And if you haven’t heard the track yet, I hope we can make memories together in your new track discoveries.
